Something special is happening in Detroit this spring.

On Friday May 8, the Ignatian Spirituality Project invites you to Step Into The Circle: An Evening of Square Dancing, Storytelling and Community at the Jesuit High School of the University of Detroit. Br. Jim Boynton, SJ, and his group of merrymakers will lead the music and dancing. No experience is necessary. Just comfortable shoes and a desire to have a great time!

At the heart of the evening, you’ll hear from those whose lives have been transformed by ISP’s retreats and reflection circles: the kind of story that stays with you — real, hopeful, and full of life.

This isn’t a fundraiser or a formal presentation. It’s a gathering. An opportunity to be moved and have fun, to listen and to meet people who care about the same things as you. Whether you’ve been part of the ISP community for years or have only just got to know us, this is the place for you.

The Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) is a national network of spiritual companionship for people rebuilding their lives from homelessness and addiction. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, our retreats and reflection circles provide “scaffolding for the soul” — a foundation of dignity, hope, and belonging that helps recovery last.

“A spiritual community is not judgmental. They’re there for your spiritual enrichment, to support you — just wants you on that right road.”
