A new chapter for ISP: a special announcement

Dec 31, 2020

Dear ISP friends and family,

It is with great respect for the Ignatian Spirituality Project and anticipation of its bright future that I announce my resignation as Executive Director of ISP on December 31, 2020. In the new year, I will be joining the advancement office at the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus.

I have been with ISP for over half of its lifetime and believe ISP is ripe for new creativity and leadership. This ministry is poised to begin a new chapter in its 22-year history, and with our dedicated staff, Board of Directors, and volunteer base, ISP will continue to be the strong mission-driven organization that it has always been.

I am also thrilled to announce that Christine Curran will take over as ISP Executive Director effective January 1, 2021. Christine is our current Director of Programs and Mission Effectiveness, and she is the exact right person to take over this role. She is a talented leader with a deep love for our retreat programs and an exciting vision for our ministry; the organization will be in excellent hands.

It has been a true privilege and honor to guide the Ignatian Spirituality Project, and I can’t wait to see where the organization goes next. As we slowly emerge from COVID-19 in 2021, ISP will be on strong footing, poised to increase its impact on those individual who we serve, and provide life-changing spiritual care to even more individuals recovering from homelessness and addiction.

I offer my deep gratitude to all those friends, benefactors, supporters, and especially dedicated volunteers who have worked and walked alongside me over the past 12. years. I know you will continue to accompany ISP on this next part of our journey, and for that I am grateful.

Wishing you and yours all the best in the new year!

Gratefully,

Thomas D. Drexler
Executive Director
